I entered Aidan into the chatterbox challenge and Loebner
competitions. I am not expecting great things as Aidan is not really
finished but hope it does OK. There will be many great bot creators
in both competitions, Mohan and Bruce to name but two, so
competition will be tough.. Download a copy here:

I am releasing my new software called Aidan. It is not finished but
is in a state that can be released. The database has reduced
in size from 100MGB to 7MB due to a a new mechanism for storage.
The whole thing is not more than 10 meg in size. In many places it
is very weak but it does things that surprise even me. I am pleased
with it's progress. It has a long way to go bur shows promise.

Working hard on a new chatbot for the Loebner in September, the
entry date is in May. only a couple of month left!!!

Adam and Marti are now retired, their technology is a dead end, so
is Zen my Javascript bot for the same reason. I have come up with a
new idea.. Lets see if it works. Roll on This years Loebner
and FCE competitions.

Just entered Adam into the International Chatbot Contest. It may be
another fake but what the heck. Adam has had a few tweaks as
well as data purge but is not much different. I don't expect
it to do well but it is good to see how the bot performs.

OK, now Christmas is out of the way time to get back t work. I am
starting work on a new bot called Kane. This one is different. It's
data is arranged in a new way, there is a huge amount of it and I
have some ideas about the way to organise it internally. I hope to
have something working for this years Lobener. I want to get
away from word triggers and canned responses.

Marti didn't do that well but the time I spent on it was fun. It has
shown me that I still have fundamental faults in the underlying
design.

Putting the final touches to Marti. Marti is my entry to the
funniest computer ever competition. The deadline is the 1st of
November and there are 6 entries so far.. Interesting to see how it
goes as this is the first competition of it's type.
